After a fun filled morning, we headed to our hotel to check in and get in the afternoon naps. We had booked a one-bedroom, so we were really excited to put the kids down in one room and then hang out in the other room. Weren't we surprised when the one-bedroom ended up being nothing but a suite in which there was no door separating the one bedroom from the rest of the room. Doh! (sorry, Homer references are on my brain since Chris is going to work at a nuclear power plant in SC) So, we gave nap time our best shot, putting the kids down in their pack and plays in the living area, and Chris and I laid down in bed on the other side of the room. We had pulled closed the shades and turned out the lights so that the kids couldn't see each other. We laid there and they cried. Then they stopped crying and started chatting and then laughing. Chris and I still laid there. Then I texted him saying "what do we do?" His response? "We play dead!" Needless to say there was no nap that day, and we got a move on to the Mystic Aquarium. If you've never been, we highly recommend it.
As if we hadn't already had enough fun for one day, we still had to eat dinner! Right next to the hotel: Chuck E Cheese! The rides and the games were terrible and so was the food, but overall, the kids seemed to have fun. Here is Samantha playing a game:
