Thanks to my friend Beth, I am sitting here listening to Everly's Fireside album, a great EP of 6 Christmas songs. Yesterday we woke up to snow on the ground. Granted we could still see the green grass, but there was snow. When Chris got the picture I texted, he replied that he was wearing a t-shirt in SC. I am really excited for warmer weather during the winter that will hopefully allow us to be outside more often with the kids. BUT, I do have to admit that I am a little bit nervous that I will miss the snow. I always get into the Christmas spirit listening to Christmas music, and it really puts me in the mood when there is snow on the ground and lights on the houses. What if it doesn't seem like the holidays in NC because there aren't lights reflecting off of the snow? Last year it seemed like we got much more snow than we've seen in a few years and each morning that I woke up to a new snowfall, I was so excited to point out the window and show Jake the snow. I couldn't wait to wake Samantha up so she could see the snow. Have I always felt this way, or is the excitement of the season at a new time high when seeing if through your children's eyes? I've seen my fair share of snow in PA and Boston and our NC realtor assured us that usually once a year there is a snow storm that shuts down the town for a week because no one knows how to deal with snow. Maybe that one big shut down would be more fun and exciting than a bunch of little snows. Who knows. There is only one way to find out, and since we are moving in December, we'll find out very soon!
