Fifth-generation fighter T-50, also known as PAK FA, performed the third test flight, Interfax reported with reference to the representatives of the military-industrial complex.
Flight tests of the fighter he told, were held on Friday, February 12, at the aerodrome of Komsomolsk-on-Amur Aircraft Production Association (KnAAPO). The stealth fighter spent 57 minutes in the air.
The T-50 was painted in the gray and white splinter camouflage.
The KnAAPO planned to perform a few more flights test on PAK FA, before moves the fighter to Zhukovsky near Moscow, where it will face bulk of flight tests including mock combat with several other existing fighter.
Specifications of the fifth-generation fighter T-50 is still kept secret. It was only reported that the T-50 can take off and landing on runways of length of 300-400 meters and has superb maneuverability.
The T-50 performed its first flight on January 29, 2010. Its second flight was on February 6 and its third on February 12.
Sukhoi director Mikhail Pogosyan has projected a market for 1000 aircraft over the next four decades.
